Privacy Policy
The Veil Wiki is an independent guide site. You can read our guides without creating an account. Analytics loads on every page and advertising loads on the pages described below. Neither asks for prior consent or provides a site setting.
Hosting and contact
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this site. Requests disclose technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time to the hosting provider for delivery, security and operational logs. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond and handle your request. Do not include sensitive account or payment information.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-85XR8XH0PJ to understand visits and improve guides. Google may process the page URL and title, referrer, browser and device details, approximate location derived from the connection, and standard measurements enabled in the Google Analytics data stream. Our site code does not add search terms, names, email addresses or Roblox account identifiers to Google Analytics. It adds one custom event, and only on the codes page: pressing a Copy button sends code_copy with the name of the code you copied, which is how we tell whether that page is doing its job. It fires only when your browser confirms a successful copy.
Google Analytics may set first-party cookies and process data on Google systems. The site uses the standard GA4 tag without a regional or stored-preference check. Google controls its own systems, cookie settings and retention after receiving data. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google Analytics handles data.
Advertising
This site carries advertising from HilltopAds. It runs by default worldwide without an on-site advertising switch. Monetag ran here alongside HilltopAds from September 11 to September 15, 2026 and has been removed; Adsterra was removed earlier. None of their code is on any page.
Two banner slots exist, one after the opening answer and one at the end of the article, and only on the home page and 22 guide pages. Nothing appears over the page; the vignette banner that did was removed with Monetag. This policy, the about, contact, links, terms, search and error pages never load a HilltopAds placement. Eligible pages reserve space for the opening banner before it loads.
On pages with advertising, HilltopAds and the advertising partners they work with may use cookies or similar identifiers, your IP address, device and browser details and your interactions with an ad to select, deliver and measure what you are shown, and to prevent fraud. Their partners, retention periods and processing locations may vary and are governed by their terms, not ours; we never receive that data. See the HilltopAds privacy policy.
The path /sw.js served Monetag’s ownership verification service worker while they were on the site. It now serves a worker that unregisters itself, so a browser that installed theirs removes it at its next update check; deleting the file would have left that installed worker running. This site’s own code has never registered a service worker.
The site also includes Google AdSense code under publisher client ca-pub-9664544809218491 for ownership verification and application review.
Loading the AdSense verification code connects your browser to Google. Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, requested page, browser and device details, approximate location and request time for verification, security and service operation. See how Google uses information from partner sites and Google’s privacy policy.
Browser controls
Analytics and advertising load directly, without a country lookup, consent notice or on-site switch. We do not read Global Privacy Control or older preferences saved under veil-analytics-consent-v1 or veil-ads-consent-v1. Those old records no longer control loading; the site does not rewrite or delete them.
You can limit tracking through browser cookie settings, a content blocker or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. All guides remain readable when analytics or advertising is blocked. Advertising is disabled on local and preview domains; the GA4 tag is included in every generated page.
Privacy requests
Contact hello@the-veil.wiki about information you sent us or to request access, correction or deletion. Rights depend on your location and may also include objection, restriction and a complaint to your local data protection authority. For information held by analytics, advertising or hosting providers, their linked policies explain how to contact them.
External links and updates
This site sets a referrer policy of no-referrer-when-downgrade, so the address of the page you were on is passed to the advertising partner above, and to any external site you click through to. Most sites now send only the domain. What it discloses here is which guide you were reading; there are no accounts, forms or query strings on this site that could carry anything more. Nothing is sent when the destination is an insecure connection.
Roblox, Discord and other linked services have their own policies. This policy applies to The Veil Wiki. We update the date above when our practices change.
