The Veil Accessories
The September 12 patch added 21 accessories at once and named every one of them, without listing their effects or drops. That developer list is preserved below alongside later balance notes and the in-game tooltips recorded by players.
The short version
The September 12 CONTENT block is a list of names, not a stat table. The developer posted 21 names and stopped there — no effects, no rarities, no drop sources. The full list is below, verbatim. Separately, the same patch's BALANCING block gave explicit numbers to three pieces of gear that were already in the game — Golden Beetle, Sky Garments and Soul Shroud. Later sections separate the October balance notes from recorded event accessory tooltips and regular accessory effects and sources. A readable tooltip establishes what that copy displays; it does not establish where it drops.
The 21 accessories added on September 12
In the developer's order, with his spelling. One of them, The Bell, shares its name with the megaboss added in the same patch and with the FINAL TOLL badge — the patch note lists it here as an accessory, which is the only first-party statement anyone has about what The Bell drops.
- Explorer Hat
- Runner Helmet
- Chestplate
- Backpack
- Fairy Light
- Disco Ball
- Shako
- Negative Cap
- Tainted Elixir
- Rampaging Ribcage
- Unknown Rams
- Starfish
- Turtle Shell
- Ring Of Retribution
- Hell Pauldrons
- Power Cell
- Antibiotics
- Panic Necklace
- Decaying Spine
- Night Stone
- The Bell
The CONTENT block is a bare list. The official Discord was searched for four of the more distinctive names — Ring Of Retribution, Panic Necklace, Rampaging Ribcage and Tainted Elixir — on September 16, 2026, and every one of them returns exactly one message: the patch note itself. The developers have not described these items anywhere, and no player write-up we could find has either.
That is a statement about what has been published, not about what the items do. Every one of them has real numbers on a real tooltip in game right now. They will be added here as they can be read off that tooltip and attributed — not reconstructed from what the names sound like. A "Turtle Shell" that obviously grants resistance is exactly the kind of guess that turns into a cited fact three sites later.
The three effects the same patch did put numbers on
These are not from the list above. All three already existed and were rebalanced on September 12, which is why they have figures when the new arrivals do not. The patch notes never say which item class any of them belongs to — "Sky Garments" reads like an outfit rather than an accessory, and the developer did not sort them. They are grouped here because the numbers are first-party and had not been written down anywhere.
| Item | Confirmed by | Effect after September 12 |
|---|---|---|
| Golden Beetle | Developer patch note | Grants −5% resistance. The note reads "Golden beetle now grants -5% resistance." — a reduction to what it gave before, not a penalty it inflicts on you. |
| Sky Garments | Developer patch note | +10% summon life and +1 extra summon. The word "only" in the original line marks this as a cut from a larger bonus. |
| Soul Shroud | Developer patch note | Now also grants −10% damage, on top of whatever it did before. "Also" means this was added to the item, not swapped in. |
All three lines are cuts. Read together with the summon changes in the same block — summon items costing 150 stamina by default, and summon damage now flooring at −80% — the September 12 patch was pulling down the summoner build from several directions at once, and two of these three items sit inside it.
October 10: six more accessories and a round of nerfs
The VEILOWEEN update added six regular accessories, named in the developer's update log with rarity colours but, again, no effects: Derelict’s Helmet, Derelict’s Chestplate, Derelict’s Leggings, Viridian Crystal and Forbidden Talisman (blue), and Halo (red). One creator's launch-day video says Halo is a new drop from the Cell Of Life; that is one source. The event's limited items are separate, and are on the VEILOWEEN event guide.
Halo fix, October 11: the developer's v2.0.3 hotfix removes its unintended −10% resistance. That penalty was a bug, so do not use an older tooltip as the current trade-off. The fix does not publish Halo's remaining effects or its drop chance.
2026-10-11T03:23:20Z, read after freshly syncing the updates and news channels. The same log rebalanced a dozen accessories. These lines are first-party, and several replace numbers that were only community-reported here before:
- Lucky Coin: luck 200% to 150%. This is the first time the developer has published its luck figure, and it settles which of the two numbers creators quoted was right.
- Rampaging Ribcage: now boosts melee damage only, with a −10% speed penalty instead of −20%, and its drop chance falls from 1 in 2,000 to 1 in 3,000.
- Vampiric Talisman: now carries −10% universal damage, and no longer heals you from Thorns damage. The fixes also include a line about it and Bleeding, "Fixed Vampiric Talisman no longer works when Bleeding", which can be read either way.
- Angry Mask loses its resistance penalty. The Sleeping Mask's speed penalty drops from −15% to −10%. Laughing Mask now gives −5% resistance.
- Gladiator Aura now boosts melee damage only. Ring Of Retribution loses its −25% fire resistance.
- Thorns damage is halved and can no longer trigger effects such as critical hits. Weeping Mask's purgatory bomb passive was reworked, in the fixes.
Limited VEILOWEEN accessories: visible effects
Checked October 18, 2026: these are separate from the six regular additions above. tank lover's October 17 showcase displays each panel with the Veiloween 2026 availability line. One recorded tooltip supports the listed effect, but does not establish a drop source, drop chance or tested build result.
| Item | Displayed effect and trade-off |
|---|---|
| Bat Wings · Elite | Jump and speed bonuses with a fire-resistance penalty. Glide lets you hold jump while airborne to slow your fall. |
| Devil Horns · Rare | +20% fire resistance. Infernal Wrath grants +15% universal damage while burning from Fire, Azure Fire, Starfire, Shadowfire or Purgatory Flames. |
| Witch Hat | Its broom-specific passive lets Wicked Broom conjure four stars at once instead of three. |
| Vampire Cape · Elite | Hunger grants +10% speed, +10% regeneration and +10% knockback. |
| Pumpkin | Spooky grants +10% universal damage. This is a different item from the Pumpking weapon. |
| Devil's Contract · Legendary | In combat, your highest multiplier counts for 25% more of itself. While the contract is out, it drains 1% of maximum health every 0.5 seconds, but never takes your last health point. This does not establish a universal extra 25 percentage points or a tested cooldown result. |
| The Unblinking Eye · Mythic | Lidless grants blindness immunity and a longer weave window. A successful weave teleports you behind the attacker, briefly blinds them and applies Fire. A failed weave briefly blinds you even through that immunity. |
How many accessories you can wear
Four slots to begin with, and a fifth after Cell of Life. That fifth slot is community-observed rather than first-party: it comes from one creator's post-quest walkthrough, and no patch note or in-game text confirms it. It is recorded the same way on the bosses page, and it stays labelled until a second recording or a developer post backs it up.
Accessories can be enhanced, and it is not the gem system
The Goblin Tinkerer's opening line, read off his dialogue in game, is “Show me the item you would like to enhance. A weapon, an outfit, or an accessory.” — so accessories are inside the Ichor economy, not the gem one. Gems only go on weapons, and the 100-silver blacksmith fee has nothing to do with anything on this page. The full split between the two systems is on the enchanting and gems page.
He also strips enhancements back off: “Scraping a thing clean is crude work, but it is cheap.” What that costs is still unknown, because both of his prompts want an item in hand before they quote a number.
Where the accessories people are farming come from
None of these sources are in a patch note. They come from creators' farming videos between September 12 and 24. Where two separate creators show the same source it is stated plainly; where only one does, it says so.
Rampaging Ribcage: skeletons in the Weeping Crypt
Two separate creators farm it the same way. Go to the Weeping Crypt, drink a Night Call potion and kill skeletons. One of them adds a trick: leave the Necromancer alive. The skeletons it summons still drop loot, and it sends a new wave each time you clear one, so it keeps the farm going. He also says to use a low-population server so nobody else kills your spawns, and reports six to ten ribcages an hour depending on your luck build. That rate comes from one player.
What it does, from its tooltip: +10% universal damage and +10% critical chance, at the cost of 20% less healing received and 20% less speed. On top of that, every hit you land adds another 5% universal damage. Land the next hit within 0.8 seconds and it stacks, up to five times, for +25%. The hit after that still lands at full power but spends every stack, and you start again. Stop hitting for 0.8 seconds and the stacks are gone too. So it peaks at 35%, which matches an earlier creator who gave the same figure out loud.
Changed October 10: the update log makes Rampaging Ribcage boost melee damage only, cuts its speed penalty from 20% to 10%, and lowers its drop chance from 1 in 2,000 to 1 in 3,000. The tooltip above predates that.
That tooltip was on screen in an October 2 build video and read aloud over it. We could only download a 360p copy, so the text was read from a blurry frame, and the narration matches it word for word. The copy shown is an enhanced one. Its enhancements (Luck I and Thorns) are listed separately, under the effect line.
Lucky Coin: chests, and goblins during the invasion
Two unrelated creators report Lucky Coins from ordinary chests: a September 12 clip titled exactly that, shot at Runner Respite, and a September 18 legendary-farming guide that says chests in the maze can drop one. Two creators also quote it as a 1 in 2,000 drop from goblins during the Goblin Warlock invasion in the Glade and suggest server hopping until you find an invasion. Neither video shows it on screen. The in-game Bestiary lists drop chances for every enemy you have killed, so check the goblins' entry there before server hopping for one. It raises your luck, and people wear it before farming bosses for legendaries. Creators quoted the boost as both 20% and 200%. The developer's October 10 update log settles it: Lucky Coin luck went from 200% to 150%.
Vampiric Talisman: chests in The Pale
Two separate creators name the same source: chests that spawn around The Pale, better at night with a Night Call potion. One adds that a monument there always has a chest, and that logging out and back in from the right spot respawns them. That creator also shows a second method, a quest-giver in The Pale who asks for 25 kills at night and spawns chests when you finish. One of the two also reports legendary tomes from the same chests. The Vampiric Talisman is not one of the 21 accessories in the September 12 patch notes above.
What it does, from its tooltip: wearing it heals you for 10% of the damage you deal with every attack, summons included. That line was on screen in the same October 2 build video as the Ribcage tooltip, on an enhanced copy carrying Rejuvenating II. A second creator's October 2 endgame guide describes the same effect without giving the number: it heals on crits, summons and abilities alike. An October 3 build video shows the item as Legendary. Changed October 10: it now also carries −10% universal damage, and it no longer heals you from Thorns damage.
Prosthetic Arm and Power Glove: effects only
Both are worn in that same build, and neither is in the September 12 list. No source has been recorded for either. Prosthetic Arm (Elite, passive Heavy Hand): +10% resistance and +25% knockback. Two separate build videos, from October 2 and October 3, show the same tooltip. Power Glove: +12% attack speed. That one was read aloud only, and the tooltip never appears in the frames we could check.
Dark Amulet, The Convergence and Evasion Scarf: effects only
All three tooltips were on screen in an October 3 PvP build video. None of the three is in the September 12 list, and no source has been recorded for any of them.
- Dark Amulet (Rare), passive Mindrot: every hit you land drains 1 sanity from the enemy. The tooltip also lists "−10% insanity" and does not say what that stat does. The build in the video is made around this amulet, because the drain counts per hit and multi-hit weapons stack it fast.
- The Convergence (Mythic), passive Ascendant: each prestige gives +1% damage, cast damage, summon damage, summon life, PvE damage, resistance, regeneration, speed, stamina cost reduction and stamina regeneration, capping at prestige 10 for +10% of each. How prestige works is on the prestige page.
- Evasion Scarf (Elite), passive Elusive: +10% speed, and it makes your dash 25% longer.
All three copies are enhanced (Protection, plus Fleet II on The Convergence and the scarf). Enhancements are listed separately from the effect lines quoted here.
The Laughing Mask: five hits in two seconds
Checked October 19, 2026: the Mockery passive says landing five hits within two seconds lowers the target's resistance by 10%. This is a tooltip reading from frostie67's October 12 recording at 1:15, on an enhanced Elite copy of The Laughing Mask. The line does not specify the reduction's duration or stacking, and the recording does not isolate those effects in a test. The wearer's separate −5% resistance penalty is in the October 10 patch notes above.
One creator's list for the rest
One melee creator's two September videos say where their items came from. None of these has a second source yet: The Bell from The Bell boss, Tainted Elixir from the Ancient Bones that spawn in the crypt (it deals more damage the lower your health is), The Sleeping Mask from The Masquerade, Furystone from Smelter Demon, and Runner's Handbook from floor drops and chests. Separately, the in-game Bestiary confirms a different source for Furystone: Cambions in Scorch Basin drop it at 1 in 25, and they are the same enemy players farm for Fire Essence.
What we could not confirm
- What most of the 21 do. Rampaging Ribcage, Tainted Elixir and The Bell now have creator-reported sources and effects above. The other 18 still have no recorded effect, rarity or source. Of the 21, only Rampaging Ribcage has had its effect read off an in-game tooltip on this page.
- Which of them are actually accessories in the inventory sense. The patch note calls all 21 accessories; the game's own categories have not been checked against that list.
- How to unequip an accessory. People are searching for this and we do not have a verified answer. Taking an enhancement off is the Goblin Tinkerer's job, above — that is a different action from clearing the slot, and the two should not be conflated. The only related control we have seen is the Switch To Vanity / Switch To Accessories button in the Character Info panel, in a September 5 video. It switches the panel between your accessory slots and a separate set of vanity slots, each with an eye icon. That changes what is shown, and we have not seen it remove an accessory.
- Whether The Bell the accessory drops from The Bell the boss. One creator now says it does (above), but nothing first-party links the item to the kill.
- What Golden Beetle, Sky Garments and Soul Shroud granted before September 12. All three lines are deltas, and the starting values were never posted.
📜︱updates channel, read there directly: the CONTENT block posted 2026-09-12T16:14:38Z for the accessory list, and the BALANCING block posted 2026-09-12T16:14:45Z for Golden Beetle, Sky Garments, Soul Shroud and the summon changes. Names are reproduced with the developer's own spelling and capitalisation rather than corrected. The claim that these names are otherwise unpublished was tested twice on September 16, 2026 and is a statement about those two tests, not a guarantee: a search of the official Discord for Ring Of Retribution, Panic Necklace, Rampaging Ribcage and Tainted Elixir returned only the patch note itself in each case, and a web search for the two most distinctive of those names alongside the game returned no results about The Veil at all. The Goblin Tinkerer's two quoted lines were read off his dialogue at the Enhance station in game on September 13, 2026, and are carried here from the enchanting page, where the rest of that system is documented. The fifth accessory slot after Cell of Life comes from Good Game Gaming's post-quest walkthrough — one creator, unconfirmed by any first-party text, and labelled as such both here and on the bosses page. The Bell's badge record and the megaboss announcement are sourced on that page. No stat, rarity or drop source has been inferred from an item's name anywhere on this page; where a value is not listed it is because nobody has recorded it, and that is stated rather than filled in. These are beta values observed in a live server, not an official specification. The drop-source section was added September 27, 2026 from creator videos, read through their original English captions. Rampaging Ribcage: OyO's September 18 legendary farming video and Northolle's September 18 ribcage farm (the Necromancer method, the low-population advice and the six-to-ten-an-hour rate); the effect line is spoken in Northolle's September 24 melee build. Lucky Coin: jackylandhyde's September 12 clip and the OyO video above; the 1 in 2,000 goblin figure is quoted in that OyO video and in AxtroAMZ's September 15 video, which also gives both the 20% and 200% luck figures. Vampiric Talisman: the OyO video above and Creature0641's September 18 Pale chest guide (the monument, the log-out respawn and the 25-kill quest). The single-creator item list is the on-screen labels in the September 24 Northolle video, plus the Tainted Elixir line from his September 22 boss guide. The Cambion Furystone rate was read off the Bestiary on screen in Gamma's September 27 video, added September 28, 2026. The vanity toggle is from Crown Trone's September 5 video, read off the 360p Character Info panel. A September 19 short advertising an unlimited Lucky Coin farm "before patch" was not used: its title presents it as something to use before it gets patched, and methods like that are not published here.
The tooltip readings were added October 3, 2026 from arty's October 2 Seraphim build video, checked against its original English captions and read from a 360p download: Vampiric Talisman at 3:21, Prosthetic Arm at 3:48 and Rampaging Ribcage at 4:21 to 4:42. Power Glove's figure is from the narration alone. The Vampiric Talisman description without a number is from OyO's October 2 endgame guide. The earlier spoken Ribcage figure is from the September 24 Northolle build linked above. Both tooltips shown are on enhanced copies, so treat the numbers as what one live server displayed on October 2, not as a base-item specification.
Dark Amulet, The Convergence and Evasion Scarf, and the rarities and passive names of Prosthetic Arm and Vampiric Talisman, were added October 5, 2026 from Evil Catto's October 3 PvP build video, read from a 360p download and checked against its English captions: Dark Amulet at 0:55, The Convergence at 1:12, Prosthetic Arm and Evasion Scarf at 1:18, Vampiric Talisman at 1:20. Those copies are enhanced as well, and the same caveat applies.
The October 10 section, the six new names and every balance line are quoted from the developer's VEILOWEEN update log, a Google Doc linked in the official Discord
