Human Race in The Veil
Gains 13 maximum HP per prestige instead of the normal 10, so its advantage grows over time.
Should you keep Human?
Usable while learning, especially with prestige progress. Reroll when you need a focused build bonus.

Human effect
Ambitious raises the maximum-HP gain per prestige from 10 to 13: an extra 3 HP for each prestige level, per the developer's September 12 patch notes. Before that patch the values were 25 and 30.
What the numbers come to
The gap is +3 maximum HP per prestige, so the race is worth +15 HP at prestige 5, +30 at prestige 10 and +60 at prestige 20. At prestige 1 it is +3 HP, which is close to nothing. This is the only race on the list whose value is a function of how long you have played.
The September 12 patch made it noticeably weaker, and the direction matters more than the numbers. Per-prestige HP dropped from 25/30 to 10/13, so Human's edge per prestige shrank from +5 to +3, a 40% cut. Anyone quoting this race off a pre-September-12 guide is overrating it by that margin.
Measured as a share, Ambitious gives 30% more HP from prestige than any other race gets. That share never changes. Only the absolute number grows.
Best build fit
Long-term survivability and new players who want a simple passive with no rotation or timing requirement.
Tradeoffs to check
The benefit starts small and supplies no damage, luck, movement or class synergy.
Human compared with Obelite
Obelite's +8% resistance and Human's bonus HP both reduce how often you die, but resistance is a percentage of an already-scaling pool and works from the first minute, while Human needs dozens of prestiges to reach a comparable effective size. Human wins on nothing here except never requiring a decision.
Open the Obelite profile for the other side of that trade.
When to reroll Human
Reroll as soon as a reroll is cheap and your build has a direction. Human is the correct race to hold while you are undecided and the wrong one to keep once you are not.
A reroll replaces your race rather than adding a second one. The steps are on the race index.
What is not confirmed about Human
- Whether prestige levels cap, which sets the ceiling on this race's entire value.
- Whether the September 12 rebalance is final. This line has already been changed once during beta, making it the most likely number on this page to move again.
