Should you keep Wraith?
Keep it if random hit protection suits your build. The old 5% comparison is no longer a reason to reroll; avoid spending scarce rerolls on a provisional ranking.

Wraith effect
Phase gives a 10% chance for a received hit to deal no damage. The developer's October 10 update log increased the chance from 5%.
What the numbers come to
If each eligible hit rolls independently at 10%, Phase gives an expected 10% damage reduction over enough hits. In that model, the chance of no trigger across 20 hits is 0.9^20 ≈ 12%. These are calculations from the published chance, not measured proc rates or proof that every damage type can trigger Phase.
Phase cannot be saved for a particular boss strike. A random proc can protect against a small hit while failing on a dangerous one, so the average does not guarantee survival in any individual fight.
The new 10% chance exceeds Obelite's reported 8% resistance in that simple expected-damage comparison. Obelite still offers predictable reduction and stun resistance, while Wraith has no movement penalty. The old claim that Obelite wins on both average reduction and reliability no longer holds.
Best build fit
General survival when you do not yet have a tightly specialized build.
Tradeoffs to check
The proc is random and cannot be saved for a boss strike, so it is less reliable than direct resistance.
Wraith compared with Obelite
Obelite trades movement speed for reliable resistance and stun resistance. Wraith now has the higher simple average reduction at 10%, without a speed penalty, but cannot guarantee a proc on the hit that matters. Neither is a direct upgrade on those numbers alone.

When to reroll Wraith
Reroll when another race matches a specific build you want to play, rather than because an old guide still quotes a 5% Phase chance. Keep a usable defensive race while rerolls are scarce.

What is not confirmed about Wraith
- Whether Phase can trigger against damage over time, environmental damage or scripted one-shot mechanics, or only against ordinary hits.
- Whether the published 10% chance is modified by luck, and whether successive rolls are independent.
